This easy crockpot pot roast is made with chuck roast,cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and red wine. Slow-cooked untilfork-tender, it’s the ultimate comfort food served with mashed potatoes ornoodles

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 lb pot roast or chuck steak
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 1.2 cup red wine

Instructions
 

  • In a sauce pot on low add cream of mushroom soup, beef broth and red wine and stir together until combined. Add onion soup mix and heat until warm.
  • Pour mixture over pot roast in a crockpot.
  • Cook on low 8-9 hours until tender.
  • Serve over noodles or with mashed potaoes.

Notes

TIPS
Pot roast will produce a good amount of gravy to use for the noodles.
If you desire, you can add carrots at the beginning of cooking.
