Equipment

  • toothpicks to secure the bacon
  • parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed
  • 1/2-1 pound Bacon thinly sliced (one slice per sprout)
  • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • If the Brussels sprouts are large, cut them in half. Smaller sprouts can be left whole.
  • Wrap each sprout with one slice of bacon, securing the ends with a toothpick.
  • Place the wrapped sprouts seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Drizzle with maple syrup, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the sprouts are tender. Flip halfway through baking for even browning.
  • Remove from the oven, discard the toothpicks, and serve hot.
